Book Layout Designs
During my time at Publishing Concepts, I specialized in Book Layout Designs. I focused on creating unique and engaging designs for organization directories, school history books, and branding guidelines. I worked together with clients to bring their vision to completion by following their branding guidelines, to make sure they were left with beautiful, professional books, representing their school or organization well. I have provided a few examples of my work below.

This was the Publishing Concepts Branding Guidelines that my team created. I designed the concept for the cover, as well as the opening spread for the brand colors. I also collaborated with my team on the overall look and feel we wished the book to have that best represented our company.

Our company created unique books for universities and organizations called Oral History Projects. They were student history books, where alumni could call in and give a story about their time involved with that organization. We would then put them together to create a book filled with stories. Our job was to make the books stand out. Creating the covers was one way we could impact the overall feel of the book.

The core product that we produced at Publishing Concepts was School Directories. I had the job of creating the covers, as well as "intros" that the schools would provide. These could be anything from the school/organization history, messages from the leadership, timelines, or brief explanations of what that organization stands for. They would provide us with the photography and style, and my job was to put all of that information together to create a appealing "intro" to a directory.
